| Date: Saturday, 2nd August, 2008 (6:30 pm) Venue: The India International Centre Auditorium, Maxmueller Marg, New Delhi An illustrated lecture by author-scholar Pran Nevile on “The Genius of Meena Kumari, The Poet and Tragedy Queen of Indian Cinema” followed by a musical rendition of Meena Kumari’s poetry, composed and sung by Rashmi Agarwal. (This is the first time Meena Kumari’s poetry is being composed and sung in Ghazal and Nazm format, by another artiste. Till now, only she herself had recited her own poetry.) |
